This mission can only be won by fighting on multiple fronts. First, we are working to challenge the unfair and discriminatory standards that are imposed on fathers. Our efforts extend to both advocating for policy changes at the state level and working with communities to help foster good fathers who are active in the lives of their children. We need a court system that remains impartial when determining the best-suited parent for a child and when establishing child support obligations. These decisions should not be based on gender, but rather on the well-being and welfare of the child.
Furthermore, we will address the lack of knowledge and support provided to fathers, particularly those who have not had the presence of a father figure in their own lives. We recognize that this knowledge gap has far-reaching consequences and we aim to fix this issue through our non-profit organization. By providing guidance and creating a safe environment, we will empower young men to become knowledgeable and responsible fathers, free from judgment and unnecessary government interference. We firmly believe that an informed father is a capable and nurturing parent.
We are committed to establishing accountability and raising the standards for fathers. We reject the notion of fathers being reduced to mere financial providers for single mothers. Through the creation of a fair and unbiased system, the fear and stigma surrounding custody courts will dissipate. Fathers will be recognized as equal stakeholders in their children's lives, alongside any mother. To achieve this, we depend on your support and active participation in bringing about this much-needed change.
Additionally, we are determined to address the flaws within existing systems that undermine family structures. It is evident that welfare disproportionately favors single mothers, a practice that warrants scrutiny. While the intention may be to provide assistance, it inadvertently creates further complications, particularly for fathers. Due to the non-taxable nature of welfare, it often results in inflated child support obligations. We will fix this issue and create a more equitable system that accurately reflects the economic circumstances of families.
Moreover, we recognize that the current incentivized system perpetuates a cycle of dependence on government assistance, which affects our children as they grow into adulthood. This reliance on welfare hinders their ability to become self-sufficient individuals. This problem will not get better with time or fix it’s self. We need to change this and we will start right here in Maryland. Be part of this change and help us ensure a brighter future for our communities.
We are fully committed to effectuating this change and count on your invaluable support in rectifying these systemic issues.
